No Personal Fireworks allowed in Centerville July 2-5
South Davis Metro Fire Administration, along with the other cities of Bountiful, Centerville, West Bountiful, Woods Cross and North Salt Lake have determined to adhere to Governor Cox's recommendation for a private firework ban through July 5, 2026. The decision does not come lightly. After constant evaluation of local fire conditions, resource demands, and the heightened wildfire risk, the safety of our community and firefighters will always be our top priority.
To report illegal fireworks discharge, DO NOT call 911 unless there is an ACTIVE fire or injury. Instead, please call the NON-EMERGENCY dispatch number - 801-298-6000. Violations of this ban may result in significant fines and financial liability for property damage.
We urge the public to celebrate with non-fire related activities and/or attend a professional show. This ban does NOT affect the professional fireworks shows scheduled in North Salt and West Bountiful on July 3rd, or Centerville on July 4th, which will be monitored by pre-positioned fire department personnel.
Thank you for your patience, sacrifice, and for the valiant efforts and support to keep our community safe. As we celebrate with you, we wish you a safe and fun salute to 250 years of American history, freedom, and independence.
