Justice Court

The mission of Centerville City’s Justice Court is to improve the quality of life in our community.  The Centerville City Justice court, and all courts throughout the State of Utah, use the Uniform Recommended Fine/Bail Schedule as a guideline in setting bail and sentencing. However, there is an additional surcharge added to some of the fines which is not added to the fine posted. You may contact the court for the exact bail amount for any charge.

What is Expungement?

Expungement means clearing your record. When a court expunges your case:

  • They seal all records about it
  • No one can see these records without permission from the court
  • You can say the arrest or conviction never happened
  • Government offices will say the same

Without an expungement order, an arrest or conviction stays on your record forever. Expungement only applies to government records, not news stories. Certain requirements must be met before your case can be expunged, including automatic or clean slate expungements. Expungement information can be found on the Utah State Courts website.
