Main Street Construction

On Monday, May 6, the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) began construction on Utah State Route 106 (SR-106/Main Street) from 400 North in Bountiful to 1700 South in Farmington. This project will rehabilitate the pavement by replacing the top layer of asphalt to preserve the life of the road and provide a smoother driving surface for the public.

The project will also:

  • Reconstruct Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) pedestrian ramps
  • Install drainage improvements
  • Replace roadway signs
  • Complete spot repairs on the sidewalks

Travel lanes will be shifted to the west side of the road, with one lane of traffic open in each direction, while crews complete initial utility work, repair sidewalks, and begin work on the pedestrian ramps. Please pay attention to changing traffic patterns and be alert to workers and equipment in in the work zone. Construction is anticipated to last through early August 2019.
