2023 Election Information

Municipal Elections in Utah are every two years.  This year there are three (3) City Council positions to be voted on:

  • Three (3) City Council positions (4-year term), January 2024 - January 2028

The constitutional and statutory qualification requirements for municipal offices are:

  1. Be a United States citizen.
  2. Be a registered voter in the municipality.
  3. Be at least 18 years old at the time of the next election.
  4. Has been a legal resident of the municipality for 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the election.
  5. In accordance with Utah Constitution Article IV, Section 6, any mentally incompetent person, any person convicted of a felony, or any person convicted of treason or a crime against the elective franchise may not hold office in this state until the right to hold elective office is restored as provided by statute.


CENTERVILLE CITY, UTAH
NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL ELECTION

 In accordance with UCA 10-3-301, notice is hereby given that the following elected City positions are to be voted upon in the Centerville City 2023 Municipal Election: Three City Council Members (four-year terms). Any eligible resident wishing to become a candidate for any of the listed offices must file a Declaration of Candidacy form with the City Recorder during the candidate filing period, June 1, 2023 through June 7, 2023. The City Recorder office is located at 250 North Main Street, Centerville City, Utah 84014. The office of the Recorder will be open Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for the purpose of Candidate Declaration. The deadline to submit Declaration of Candidacy forms is no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. Candidate qualifications can be found in UCA 20A-9-203.
